We built for corporations. Then we saw who really needed us.
For years, we built digital platforms for large Swiss companies. Enterprise dashboards, complex integrations, six-figure budgets. The work was technically challenging, but something felt off.
Then one evening, our favourite Italian restaurant in Kreis 4 closed. Not because the food was bad — regulars loved it. It closed because nobody could find it online. No website, no booking system, no Google listing. Tourists walked past the door to the place next door that had a clean site and a 'Book now' button.
That hit differently. We had spent years giving powerful digital tools to companies that already had everything. Meanwhile, the businesses that actually needed help — the neighbourhood restaurant, the physiotherapy clinic, the independent salon — were invisible. Priced out by agencies charging CHF 20,000 for a website and 'strategy workshops' that led nowhere.
We decided to change that. We left the corporate world and started Veratix with one rule: the tools we build for a local barbershop should be as good as what we built for a bank. Same quality. Same reliability. Just without the six-figure invoice.
